Welcome to the USS Meridian!

It is the year 2167, still in the early years of the newly formed United Federation of Planets. The founding members United Earth, Vulcan, Andor, Tellar and Alpha Centauri lead the way for the new members: Mars, Alpha III, Vega IX, United Rigel Worlds and Colonies, Arken II and Orodanga who are finding their place and standing in the Federation. The USS Meridian a Columbia class starship leads the way in exploration as Starfleet pushes out further among the stars to find new worlds and hopefully expand.

But all is not completely peaceful. The Klingon Empire has concerns of the Federation which they have already determined to be a major force and threat which continues to get stronger with each new world joining. There are also the threats of piracy as civilian ships continue to push out further for trade and science expeditions.

Come join the crew of the Meridian as we explore, practice diplomacy, take on old and new threats to the United Federation of Planets, including threats from within.

Dropping out of warp at the edge of L'Dira space was an Orion pirate ship making its way to the homeworld with the intent of conducting business. The Orion Captain had been extended an invite by one of the L'Dira pirates that his crew had encountered about three weeks ago to meet with the leadership of his government to discuss acquiring certain resources. Through the brief conversation, these pirates were pillaging on behalf of their people. From what Captain Mekao could assess was that these L'Dira pirates were small time in comparison to the Orions. After the capture of Captain Tur, the Meridian had spent the last four days traveling at warp five to L'Dira. It had been a peaceful journey with no altercations or distractions. Andre Hunt walked into engineering. The crew of the Meridian had succeeded in capturing Captain Tur, the three pirate ships were now under the custody of the Trill government. And now hopefully there would be no issue going to warp. The ship had suffered some damage, but nothing that he wasn't certain the engineering team couldn't handle. Before taking off, he wanted to get the assessment of the damages since it had been about three hours after their battle concluded. "Mattys what's the damage looking like?"
